The Church of the Nazarene was organized in 1895 in Los Angeles, CA.
Its roots can be traced to the 1730’s when revival arose in Britain
under the direction of John & Charles Wesley and George Whitefield.
Today, the Church of the Nazarene is worldwide and includes 12,000 churches,
10 liberal arts institutions, 2 graduate seminaries, 43 undergraduate
Bible colleges, 2 hospitals, 38 medical clinics, 3 nursing colleges,
1 teacher college, 1 junior college, 430 primary & secondary schools
outside the US & Canada, 47 radio & TV broadcasts in 38 languages,
and the Nazarene Publishing
House.
Kansas
City, Missouri houses our headquarters which groups churches into districts
under the guidance of a District Superintendent. Districts are grouped
into 6 regions: Africa, Mexico/Central Ameria, Caribbean, Asia-Pacific,
Eurasia, and USA/Canada.
